Dr. H. M. Ishaq Shamad, M.A. is the Vice Rector of Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI). Previously, he served as Head of UMI’s Center for Character Development and Da’wah, Head of Internal Affairs, and Head of Public Relations at UMI. The Chairman of the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) of South Sulawesi, he is an active contributor to several accredited international journals and the author of the book “Network-Based Da’wah Management in Community Empowerment.” He also serves as Head of Research for the South Sulawesi Coordinating Forum for Terrorism Prevention. Dr. Shamad earned his doctoral degree in Islamic Communication from the Graduate Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar.
