K.H. Abdul Halim Mahfudz is the caretaker of the Seblak Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School in Jombang, and has developed and managed the Seblak Islamic Boarding School into a place of education and teaching for students oriented towards science and Islamic morals. The development of the pesantren relies on technology including Information Technology (IT), water management, waste management and renewable energy. The pesantren focuses on re-schooling high school dropouts by equipping teenagers with skills including leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal skills in the fields of arts and creativity and sports.
