H.E. Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed. serves as the current Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia. A renowned academic and reform-minded educator, he is also a Professor of Islamic Education at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Formerly Secretary-General of Muhammadiyah (2015–2027) and Chair of BSNP, he has authored numerous influential books on Islam and education. An alumnus of Flinders University, Australia, he is a recipient of the Australian Alumni Inspiration Award (2008).
