Alexander Rieger is Head of the Unit for Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue and the Task Force Dialogue of Cultures at the Austrian Foreign Ministry. He founded the Vienna Group on Religion & Diplomacy and chairs the Art. 18 Working Group on Interfaith Dialogue. He served as Deputy Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Iran, where he was also the Director of the Austrian Cultural Forum and President of EUNIC Iran.
