Prof. Akhmad Muzakki, Ph.D. is the Rector of the State Islamic University Sunan Ampel Surabaya. He is the Secretary of the Council of Indonesian Ulama (MUI) of East Java and also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) for 2022–2027. He obtained a professorship in 2015 at the age of 37 and was the youngest professor at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UINSA.
